Guest Students

KIRTLAND COMMUNITY COLLEGE WELCOMES GUEST STUDENTS!

Welcome to Kirtland Community College! Guest students are students who are enrolled at other colleges or universities and are taking one or more classes at Kirtland to satisfy graduation, prerequisite or other requirements. It is important that you meet with your home college advisor and confirm that the course(s) you are taking at Kirtland are required and transfer back to your institution. Being a guest student does not exempt you from Kirtland course pre or co-requisites or special program requirements (like Nursing or Law Enforcement).

GUEST STUDENTS:  HOW TO APPLY FOR ADMISSIONS

You are required to obtain a Guest Student Application form from the college or university you are currently attending. This form requires the registrar's signature from your college, and has a place for your advisor to indicate the appropriate Kirtland course. It is mandatory that you include a photocopy of your driver's license for residency verification.

Mail or bring in the completed form and proof of residency to:

The Kirtland Community College Office of Admissions will send you a letter of acceptance. The letter will contain information about how you can register for your class online, including your student ID number and your password to gain access to myKirtland.


Contact your home college or university financial aid department to determine eligibility for financial aid while attending Kirtland. You may also e-mail Kirtland's Financial Aid department at: finaid@kirtland.edu.


Included in your acceptance letter will be a transcript request form. For your convenience, you may also download the form. It is your responsibility to have your transcripts sent to Kirtland for evaluation prior to registering for your classes. Have an official copy of your transcript(s) sent directly to the address listed in Step 1.  You are responsible for all fees.


Register for the classes you wish to take. For your convenience, you can sign up online via myKirtland. You can also sign up in person at our Records/Registration Office located in the Administration Building.

WHEN CAN YOU REGISTER FOR CLASSES?

There are several times during the year in which to register for classes in upcoming semesters. For each semester we have early registration several months before the next semester classes begin. We also have regular registration the week before classes begin. Visit our Registration Dates page for a list of registration dates.
