KIRTLAND COMMUNITY COLLEGE WELCOMES NEW STUDENTS!
Welcome
to Kirtland Community College! We are glad you have chosen to
pursue your education with us.
Anyone who wishes to be a student at Kirtland must apply for
admissions. This is done by completing the Application for Admission
form and submitting it well in advance of your entry date. You may
complete the form online or by coming to the Office of Admissions. By
doing so, you will receive information necessary for your first semester
at Kirtland. There is no application fee.

NEW STUDENTS: HOW TO APPLY
FOR ADMISSIONS |

If you
have not done so yet, apply for admissions. You may apply
in person at the Office of Admissions located in the
Administration Building,
download our
application form (in PDF format) and mail it to us, or
apply
online.
Mail or bring in the completed form and
proof of residency

The Kirtland Community College
Office of Admissions will send you a letter of acceptance. The letter will contain information,
including your student ID number and your password,
about how to gain access to myKirtland where you can register for your classes
online. |

Apply for
Financial Aid if
desired. |
|
|

Included in your acceptance
letter will be a transcript
request form. For your convenience, you may also
download the form.
It is your responsibility to have your transcripts sent to
Kirtland for evaluation prior to registering for your classes.
Have an official copy of your transcript(s) sent directly to the
address listed in Step 1. You are responsible for all fees.

If you HAVE graduated from high
school or received a GED, contact the Office of Admissions at
(989) 275-5000, ext. 259, to determine whether you
must take the COMPASS placement test.
If you HAVE NOT graduated from high school or received a GED,
you are required to take the Ability to Benefit test to
determine eligibility for financial aid. Contact the
Office of
Admissions for more information. |

Meet with an
academic advisor. New students are strongly encouraged to
meet with an advisor to help you prepare for and select the
appropriate classes. Call our
Counseling Office at (989)
275-5000, ext. 280 or e-mail the Office of Admissions for more
information. |

Register for the classes you wish
to take. For your convenience, you can sign up online via
myKirtland. You can also sign up in person at our Records/Registration
Office located in the Administration Building. |

WHEN CAN YOU REGISTER FOR CLASSES?
There are several times during the year in which to register for
classes in upcoming semesters. For each semester we have early
registration several months before the next semester classes begin. We
also have regular registration the week before classes begin. Visit our
Registration Dates page for a list of registration dates.
