Special Features
OPENING NIGHT FEATURE:
Readings, music, games--every year features a different surprise event on
opening night.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES:
Bonfires, student-run readings, movie nights, and various other events.
SMALL CLASSES:
Class size is small, so enjoy this year’s new crew of faculty members. Lots
of individual attention to get to ask them about your writing.
NIGHTLY FACULTY READINGS:
Each night, listen to faculty as they read from their published work as well
as from new pieces. A great opportunity to get a better understanding of your
instructor as well as to get to know the work of the other faculty.
SATURDAY DIRECTOR'S READING:
Seminar director and faculty member Gerry LaFemina reads on Saturday
afternoon.
KEYNOTE QUESION-AND-ANSWER SESSIONS:
Keynotes get grilled about their work, their lives as writers, what obsesses
them, or anything else you can think of in this Inside the Actor’s Studio
formatted session.
STUDENT READING:
An open invitation for the students to share work before faculty, students
and family on Sunday morning. Always a remarkable and stunning event.
