Founded in 1966, Kirtland Community College is located in the very
heart of Michigan's scenic north woods. We're a land of lakes and
streams, woods and meadows. Our students come from near and far and from
all walks of life. When you're on our sprawling 180-acre campus and want
to head for the "Great Outdoors," you don't need to go anywhere. You're
already there.
YOU'RE SOMEBODY AT KIRTLAND
Here at Kirtland you're somebody, not just another body. As a rule
our class sizes are small. You'll get lots of personal attention and
have the opportunity to interact with instructors and classmates. Our
instructors are experts in their fields who, like our students, often
come from distant places, attracted by the Kirtland experience.

OF CHOICES
At Kirtland you have more than 50 degree and certificate programs
from which to choose, both academic and vocational. Our transfer
programs prepare you to go on to four-year universities. Our vocational
programs teach you technical skills so that you can get a good job.
Successful graduates of our vocational programs go on to money-making
new careers. There's lots to do outside of the classroom too, including
men's and women's intramural and intercollegiate sports,
Student Senate, theatre, writing and art competitions and more.

FACILITIES
Our facilities and technologies equal - and in some cases
surpass - those of some major universities. As you browse through the Web
site you'll see classrooms and labs that have all the latest equipment.
More than 50,000 square feet of new labs, classrooms and other
facilities went online in January 2000 as part of a $15 million
campus-wide expansion. The college's vocational programs - from nursing
to automotive technology - all operate in state-of-the-art, "real world"
facilities.

The Kirtland experience is affordable. For all that we offer, we
still have one of the lowest tuition rates in the state. Plus, financial
aid is available to those who qualify. And there is the possibility that
you could participate in a work/study program and earn while you learn.
