Kirtland's Fine Arts Center - Physical Plant
is a single, large structure which provides spacious facilities for
Kirtland's Art Department, the Kirtland Print Shop, and the facilities
of Kirtland's Maintenance Department.
FACILITIES
The Fine Arts wing is situated at the
western end of the structure. Headquarters of Kirtland's Art Department,
this space houses the various facilities which support the college's
visual arts programs. These include a painting studio, drawing studio,
sculpture studio, ceramics studio, photography lab, a kiln, a hot metals
room, a clay making room, a glazing room, storage rooms, and offices.
The centerpiece of the Fine Arts wing is a centrally located
multipurpose area that contains large tables and comfortable chairs as
well as all of the Art Department's digital art computers.
Next-door to the Fine Arts wing are the facilties of the college's
Physical Plant, including Printing
Services, which produces most of the college's internal and external
publications, and at the eastern end of the building the facilities of
Kirtland's Facilities Management department including the college's
shipping & receiving department and maintenance.
 Handicapped
parking for the Physical Plant - Fine Arts Center is located in lots to
the east and south of the building, and main building entrances are
equipped for handicapped access.
