Kirtland basketball coach announces summer camp dates
|
ROSCOMMON – Boys and girls in fourth through 12th grades have the
opportunity to improve their basketball skills this summer by taking
advantage of several camps being offered by Kirtland’s head women’s
basketball coach, Teresa Stuck.
The Stuck on Bball camp schedule includes separate three-day camps for
girls (July 11-13) and boys (July 14-16), as well as a morning
ball-handling camp and an afternoon shooting camp on Sunday, July 17.
Stuck, a former Houghton Lake High School basketball standout, is in her
second year as coach of the Lady Firebirds at Kirtland and last year led
her team to its first winning season.
Stuck has participated in camps all over the country and said she is
excited to be able to combine the best of those experiences and offer
that to local players. Her belief is that “teams are made during the
season, but players are made in the off-season.”
“You will leave camp with plenty of new ideas and drills to work on in
order to improve your game and take it to the next level,” Stuck said,
noting that fun and learning will go hand in hand.
Stuck on Bball camps are being hosted at Houghton Lake High School.
There is a price discount for those who register before Wednesday, June
15, as well as a discounted rate of $95 for a player who registers for
all three camps.
Registration forms can be picked up at area schools and many businesses,
or call 989-275-5000, ext. 385, for further information. |
