A message to students with disabilities...
 You
may be afraid of entering college because of memories of past barriers
and frustrations you have experienced. Kirtland's goal is to help you
work through or remove barriers by providing services to meet your
specific needs. We will make reasonable accommodations for you if we
know you have a physical, mental, or emotional disability and have
adequate documentation of the disability.
Read the information on this site with your needs in mind. Talk with
me, the Coordinator of Special Populations, about the services or aids
you may need. It is sometimes difficult to ask for help, but if you
don't ask, you may give up the fair, equal chance to do your best. There
are times when it is good to be independent and other times when it is
wise to let instructors and staff know what works for you as a student
with a disability. My job is to be your advocate. Together, we can work
toward your full participation in classes and in overall college life.
