Transition Services
PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS NEED TO PLAN AHEAD
It is recommended that you make an appointment with the
Coordinator of Special
Populations a few months before enrollment. Preparations can be made
for a smooth transition to college.
TRANSITION SERVICES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- Assistance with completing admissions forms
- One-on-one special orientation, and tour if desired
- Arrangements for individual placement testing and
accommodations, e.g., a reader, scribe, interpreter, use of
calculator
- Course selection advising
- Planning for support services and auxiliary aids
- Assistance with creating an educational development plan (EDP)
